communicating excellence
background
After becoming an Arts graduate at the University of Bologna in 1971, a job in Public Relations - which was much talked about in those years - is a fatal attraction for Laura Fraboschi. It is still a young profession that can be moulded, so an ideal ground on which willpower and skills can experiment.
Laura Fraboschi learns the basis of communication at Silan, the only company in the Modena area with a significant advertising budget and international clients. Just after one year she is asked to become part of the Comital group in Turin with the role of PR and the task to launch the Scintex brand - è yarns. That is her debut in the world of fashion. She then starts relationships with the great designers of the time: Missoni, Krizia, Versace, Malta, Coveri.
But it is the encounter with Enrico Coveri that marks her professional turnaround. She opens the "Fragola Blu" studio in Milan and with three employees she starts her activity as self-employed, dealing with integrated communication: advertising, press office and public relations in the fashion sector.
In the early Eighties "Fragola Blu" changes its name and becomes "Studio Fraboschi", moving to via Puccini 3. With twelve employees and about ten external associates, Laura Fraboschi offers a service that is strategic to the current times: she advises clients on the choice of designers; she suggests marketing ideas to transform unsatisfactory companies into successful ones; she helps emerging brands to achieve the top of their market. To achieve those objectives, she always surrounds herself with excellent associates, chosen on the basis on specific needs. In a short period of time her clients become brands known at international level and well established.
Laura Fraboschi likes challenges. She is the first communication professional figure to successfully contaminate the world of fashion with the world of art, design and culture, inventing "NEOMODA" and "NEODESIGN'. In 1989 she is given the Bellisario award.
