Venice Film Festival
The Venice Film Festival must be re-launched: this is the decision of the new president Paolo Baratta, who asks Laura Fraboschi to be responsible for the public relations and for finding private sponsors. Laura Fraboschi suggests reinstating the use of occasionwear for the institutional moments of the opening and closure of the event, after years of dishevelled dresses. The day after the inauguration, the prestigious Herald Tribune dedicates a page to the opening event with the heading: "Finally Venice rediscovers the tailcoat" and the Festival finds its parterre de roi again: those great Venetian families and the designers: Giorgio Armani, Alberto Biani, Romeo Gigli. And with them the great Hollywood stars make a comeback too.
